A few weeks ago I posted an entry on how to select your home’s colors. Well, I wanted to provide an update on that home now that all the interior and exterior painting is done. It looks outstanding. The owners selected all the colors and, I have to say, have done an amazing job.
Here’s a view of the inside. Notice the funky contrast at play between the rustic wood beams and metal supports in the trusses. The natural tone of the wood trusses also plays well with the pickle-stained ceiling and painted wood walls.
Here’s an up close view of the kitchen. My favorite two features: the giant apron front farmhouse sink and the lead caned glasses cabinets. Once again, we are pulling together the slightly rustic elements of the wood walls and adding a modern, metal touch. The countertops are due in at the end of the week.
