Creating the perfect kitchen is one of the hardest parts of architecture. It must be functional and fun, big enough for a family reunion and small enough for an intimate dinner. It is the heart of the house, eclipsing the family room and front porch as the center of activity. It’s where everyone gathers, no matter how you dress up the rest of the house. Of course, it’s also where all the paperwork lands and homework is done.
Here, then, is our latest creation. It’s amazing.
It’s a long way from completion, but you can see the artistry of the cabinetmaker in the details of the legs and trim. A personal favorite note is the ceiling. Note how the smallest touch: changing the direction of the wood in each section of the coffered ceiling really makes an impact.
