Designed to bring what’s underneath to the surface – this conceptual museum/entrance to Cathedral Caverns State Park in Alabama reflects the cavernous atmosphere of a cave. From the supporting columns that surround the building (illustrations of subsurface stalactites), as well as the circular bend to the structure (echoes the common curvature of a cave’s entrance), this museum uses man made materials to prepare visitors for nature’s glory.
